Screening For Genetic Disease

Genetic testing for genetically heritable diseases offers the breeder to identify animals that are affected as well as animals that are carriers. This allows the breeder to rid themselves of these conditions in their dogs within as little as one single generation. The number of tests performed increase annually as more genetic tests become available. Please note that many (but not all) of these tests are very breed specific.
